Extended Level SQL support

The Extended SQL grammar conformance level provides support for all SQL extensions that are unique to ODBC. This SQL conformance level supports advanced SQL features and data types that many data sources support but for which there is no equivalent in the SQL 1992 SAG and X/Open SQL CAE specification. In addition to the functionality provided by both the Minimum and the Core Level SQL conformance, the Extended Level SQL conformance supports the following:

• More Data Manipulation Language (DML) statements; i.e. positioned UPDATE, positioned DELETE, SELECT FOR UPDATE statements, UNION clauses, and outer joins.
• More expressions; i.e. date, time, and timestamp literals and scalar functions such as ROUND and SUBSTRING.
• More data types; i.e. BIT, TINYINT, BIGINT, BINARY, VARBINARY, LONG VARBINARY, DATE, TIME, and TIMESTAMP.
• Stored procedure calls.
• Batch SQL execution.
