Core Level SQL support

The Core SQL grammar conformance level provides nearly all of the functionality defined in the 1992 SAG and X/Open SQL CAE specification. Most of the SQL functionality in this specification was taken directly from the ISO standard for SQL. In addition to the functionality provided by the Minimum Level SQL conformance, the Core Level SQL conformance supports the following:

• More Data Definition Language (DDL) statements; i.e. ALTER TABLE, CREATE/DROP INDEX, CREATE/DROP VIEW, and GRANT/REVOKE statements.
• Full SELECT statement functionality, including subqueries and result data set functions; i.e. SUM, MAX, MIN, AVG, and COUNT.
• More data types; i.e. DECIMAL, NUMERIC, SMALLINT, INTEGER, REAL, FLOAT, and DOUBLE PRECISION.
